WE ARE DESIGNED TO LIVE IN COMMUNITY

Now is a great time to find a Life Group and stay connected. You can face life with the kind of love and support God has in mind for you. The best way to get connected, and stay connected, at Elgin is by joining one of our Life Groups.

WHAT ARE ELGIN LIFE GROUPS?
A Life Group is 4 to 12 people gathering for fellowship, Bible study, and prayer. Life Groups exist to accomplish two vital goals of the Kingdom:

  1. To edify believers by connecting them on a more intimate level
  2. Helping them to become devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

One of the core values of Life Groups is that they are small, which enables them to foster an atmosphere of trust, accountability, and personal spiritual growth. Small groups represent the model of the New Testament Church. (Philemon 1:2; Colossians 4:15; 1 Corinthians 16:19 etc.)

WHERE DOES EACH GROUP MEET?
Individual Life Groups meet on a designated day, time and location on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis.  Some groups are meeting via Zoom, which reduces travel and allows participants from far afield. Other groups are meeting in person.

WHAT IS STUDIED?
Each group decides on the curriculum to be studied, and how much time they will spend on fellowship, Bible study, sharing, and prayer.  The primary discussion revolves around each person sharing “What God is Teaching Me.”
