Husband and Wife Team Youth Coordinators.
Josiah likes to listen to the Sidewalk Prophets, Rend Collective, and anything Chris Tomlin. He also jams out to Classic Rock once in a while.
Maddi likes Reliant K, Casting Crowns, and Toby Mac. She also enjoys old Taylor Swift and Country music.
Josiah’s favourite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:5-6. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
Maddi’s favorite Bible passages are Psalm 19, and 119. She appreciate the connection Psalm 19 makes between God and creation. Psalm 119 reminds her about the importance of the Bible and helps realign her heart for Scripture.
Josiah loves to play a variety of instruments, fly drones (for fun and for work), and read. He loves being outdoors, surrounded by nature. He also enjoys stories, whether coming from people or from movies.
Maddi enjoys reading, writing (but NOT arithmetic). She enjoys taking care of plants, art, baking, and figuring out sustainability. She also likes volleyball, mountains, and oceans. AKA, the great outdoors.
Josiah grew up in Port Colborne. Maddi grew up around the Plattsville area and the Six Nations Reserve. After graduation, Maddi went to a YWAM (Youth With A Mission) base in Wyoming for 3 months and did an outreach to Mongolia for 2 months. Josiah went to Moldova (A country in Eastern Europe) for a missions trip the summer of 2017.
They both attended Emmanuel Bible College and developed a close friendship due to their shared passions in youth, missions, and adventure. This friendship led to them getting married in May, 2018. Josiah and Maddi both graduated in 2019 with a degree in Youth and Counselling.
Josiah and Maddi are both oldest children and they have a pet Springer Spaniel named Lily.
They both have experience with leading various youth groups. Josiah and Maddi are both Youth Coordinators at Elgin Missionary Church, overseeing the Jr. and Sr. high youth groups. They are looking forward to teaching God's Word and applying it with our youth.
